AGUAS SAGRADAS ~ SACRED WATERS
Retreat with us in the sacred, healing waters of the high desert in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. Nourish your body with slow, seasonal food and intentional ingredients. Gather in sacred circle and ceremony as we fully submerge ourselves into the rebirth of our souls while connecting with the ancient land of the Tewa.
Tucked between the rugged desert cliffs and cottonwood-lined bosque you will find Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs, a small unincorporated community in Taos County, New Mexico. Before becoming a spa and resort, the springs were used by eight Northern Pueblo tribal communities as a scared site, a gathering place, and a place of healing for almost 3,000 years. Each hot spring pool is naturally sulfur-free and rich in four elements: arsenic (for arthritis, ulcers, skin conditions); iron (for blood, immune system); lithia (for depression and digestion); and soda (digestion).
Set on private property in the scenic Ojo Caliente River Valley overlooking the majestic Jemez Mountains is the secluded and serene NOSA restaurant & inn. NOSA is an acronym for “NOrth of SAnta Fe” and also an old Spanish word for “ours” which speaks to the communal nature of a place to gather, dine and rest. Award winning executive Chef/Owner, Graham Dodds, offers an ever-changing, multi-course menu based on seasonality and inspired by the bountiful ingredients that are available in Northern New Mexico. Graham will be creating a custom menu specifically for this retreat while incorporating sacred and sustainable ingredients.
NOSA's accommodations are a veritable refuge of solace and tranquility. The four guests suites are decorated in traditional New Mexico style. From pillow top beds, luxurious flax linens, plush bathrobes and towels to wood-burning kiva fireplaces and private patios overlooking the high desert mountains, the accommodations are truly geared for your highest comfort.
