Medicine of the Heart - Cacao Ceremony

Let us honor our earth, ourselves, and each other.
If it is calling to you, please take this invitation to listen deep within and gain greater self-awareness. 

This may also be an invitation for self-care, self-love, and opening to cultivating the question of what you wish to receive and what you wish to let go of in your life.

Cacao is a magical medicine, a gift from earth for greater understanding and connection with ourselves and fellow human and the earth. We will sit in a ceremony as a collective, as a community, as in intelligent self-conscious consciousness that is particularly pleased to receive the vibrations of this heart medicine and to give praise for life and all its wonderful offerings. 

Gratitude is the source and the attitude of what this medicine of Cacao is all about. It is called a medicine because it helps us to heal, to be whole, and to remember. This is a medicine that we are co-creators in. The formulation of its alchemy with a blend of herbs, spices and deep intentions of all beings present to create a safe, sacred and loving container, is for the benefit of all beings on this earth.

The fresh Guatemalan Cacao offered at this ceremony comes to you with all the best care and love possible. It was recently harvested by 4 different Indigenous-owned farms from around the country of Guatemala, and then created into its final form for ceremonies like this one, in the heart of Lake Atitlan. 

This Cacao is being hand-delivered to you direct from the source by the creative visionary and journeyman of Holy Wow Cacao project, Mat Chandler. Mat has worked with cacao for 7+ years, since founding the Aurora Healing Arts Center in Florida, and then continuing on to move to Guatemala and work with Cacao more directly from the ground up, 3.5 years ago. Mat is a kundalini yoga teacher, sound healer, BioDynamic Cranial Touch practitioner, Thai Massage Yogi, life coach, carpenter, and more. He is grateful to guide this journey for you.

To prepare, bring:
· Your favorite mug
· Pen & notebook to write and draw in, if so inspired
· A container for water
· Fresh organic fruit to share at the end of the ceremony

Eat only lightly a few hours before the ceremony begins and please avoid drinking caffeine on the day of the ceremony if possible.


Self Investment:
The energy-exchange for this journey is $50, which will go to supporting Mat on his traveling journey to share this medicine and also to support the curators of the space which will hold us for the day’s journey. Please tell us if you wish to come and this is not accessible, we can surely work something out.

Contraindications: If you are taking SSRIs or MAOIs, or have any of the following Heart disorders like high blood pressure, severe anxiety or depression, are pregnant, have diabetes or bleeding disorders, have Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Glaucoma, Osteoporosis, or Irritable bowel syndrome, experience migraine headaches, recently had surgery, or have any other mental or physical conditions that you feel may cause concern for your health, this medicine may not be for you. Please speak to us in advance if you have any of these conditions or other concerns. YOU KNOW YOUR BODY BEST, ultimately all decisions should be made with extreme care for yourself.
